There are many ways to contribute. First and foremost is prayer. Revitalizing churches is not our responsibility, it is the Holy Spirit’s, and we are always mindful that it is God’s Church and thus it is Him who makes the changes. Your prayers are not only appreciated, but they are essential to our work. Thank you for joining with us in prayer for God to raise up spiritual leaders, create renewed churches, and glorify His name in all the earth. Please contact us:

SLI Coach Training: Phase 1
Phase 1: Incubator Coach
SLI Coach Training initially entails five different steps for a person to become an Incubator Coach. Upon completion of these five steps the person signs covenant, is designated an SLI Coach, and is deployed to lead Incubators.
- 5-Month Boot Camp – The first of these is the 5-month training that begins and ends with a 2-day retreat and includes 3 monthly video/phone conferences in the months between. This boot camp orients a potential coach to the values, environment, and process of SLI and provides the context for growing connections among coaches.
- One-on-one Discernment – Upon completion of the boot camp training, step two involves a season of discernment with both SLI and the coach-in-training about whether to continue with the training process, along with how and where to do so.
- Apprenticeship – As a clear resonance emerges that this is a fit, step three begins in which the coach-in-training co-leads a project with an experienced SLI Coach in a type of apprenticeship.
- One-on-one Discernment – Upon completion of this step, another discernment period begins around the potential role and next steps of the coach-in-training.
- Project Setup – The final step then involves project setup for the coach-in-training related to their discerned role.
Deploying Interdependently
There are many different options for those completing SLI Coach Training Phase 1. Some will receive assignments from SLI, some will lead specific organizations, and some will create their own consulting/coaching assignments. We are not worried about controlling your future, but we are worried about maintaining the highest standards and accountability of those designated as an SLI Coach. There are essentially four different ways to be deployed with a specific connection to SLI. One way or the other, it is our hope with SLI to deploy people in a manner that brings more and more interdependence between our coaches over time. Rather than a network of independent coaches working in a variety of contexts, our intention is strongly connected and interdependent coaches. Similarly, we hope to have people come through coach training that desire to provide internally to SLI and others who serve as specialists or consultants in various stages of SLI projects alongside SLI Coaches. These too would become increasingly interdependent over time. Thus, SLI Coach Training is likely to deploy the following:
SLI Coach Training:
- Independent Leader – person uses training on their own
- SLI Interdependents
- Coaches
- Interdependent Contractors
- Indigenous Coaches
- Consultants/Specialists
- Internal Providers
