Craig Robertson - Business Development Director

  Founding member and Business Development Director of Spiritual Leadership, Inc., Craig’s business experience includes founding and serving as President of Lightpath, Inc., This company was purchased by formerly fortune 500 company Ogden, Inc. where Robertson became National Technical Director.  He was then hired by Ogeta Services to serve as the Chairman of the Board and CEO.  Craig is a Lay member of his church in Lexington. He has served in many roles within the United Methodist Church including lay leader of St Luke UMC, Lexington District lay leader, Director of New Church Development and Delegate to General and Jurisdictional Conference.  Craig has now been serving within his calling, coaching and building Ministry Teams for 11 years. Craig is married to Jill and they have two children Amy and Jacob.

Ron Crandall - ABIDE Leader

  Ron is an ordained United Methodist elder in the Kentucky Conference and recently retired as Dean of the E. Stanley Jones School of World Mission and Evangelism at Asbury Theological Seminary. Ron’s ministry focus has been on smaller membership churches and effective Christian witness. This dual passion led to the development of ABIDE as a specialized ministry of SLI.  His new book Turnaround and Beyond—A Hopeful Future for Smaller Membership Churches captures the special challenges faced by smaller congregations and the leadership steps necessary to forge new futures.  Ron and Bonnie live in Lexington, KY and have two sons and two grandchildren

Bryan Sims - Leadership Coach and Coach Training

  Bryan works with SLI training and coaching leaders, teams, churches, and organizations over extended periods of time to bring spiritual awakening and missional effectiveness. In his work with SLI, he has worked in several United Methodist Conferences, including Northwest Texas, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Alabama-West Florida. Bryan is also an adjunct professor at Asbury Theological Seminary in the School of Practical Theology with a teaching focus in the area of Christian Leadership. Bryan has a PH. D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University (2009) and is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2003). In addition, Bryan has two audio CD’s: Demonstrate Your Power (1999) and Black and White (1997). He and his wife MyLinda have been happily married since 1997 and have two boys, Isaiah and Luke.

Chuck Lord - Leadership Coach, Materials and Technology

  Founding member and fulltime leadership coach with SLI, Chuck has led teams from a variety of organizations - churches, non-profits, denominational associations - in several states including Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. As one of the original Board members, he has been actively involved since SLI's inception in 2000. Chuck recently retired from the University of Kentucky, where he taught music theory and music technology for many years. He and his wife Sue make their home in Lexington, KY; they have three daughters and two grandsons.

Greg Survant - Managing Partner

  Greg is a founding member of SLI and a retired vice president and general manager of a Fortune 500 research, development and manufacturing company.  He has grown through God's grace in his 28 years workplace and church leadership experience and is currently the managing partner.  Greg and his wife Glenda have two adult sons.

Lucien Gochett

 

As an SLI Board Member, Lucien provides leadership to the SLI Treasury function. He has held various roles in church ministry, including Sunday School teacher (Adult and Young Men), assistant youth group superintendant, National Financial Secretary and Assistant Convention Coordinator for the Sunday School and Holiness Young People’s Union, and member of the National Brotherhood, all within the Churches of Christ Holiness U.S.A. (COCHUSA); and pianist and organist for numerous churches in various geographical areas across different denominations. He is currently Music Director for the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. Lucien’s business experience includes leadership roles in Finance and Quality Improvement across several Fortune 500 companies. He and his wife Trudy reside in Lexington, KY, with their children Kevin, Briana, and Brendan.

Move the Mountain Leadership Center was established in 1992 through funding from the Annie E. Casey Foundation and several other foundations and government agencies. Our mission is to inspire and equip communities to resolve poverty and thrive. To date we have consulted over 100 communities in the US on developing high-impact strategies that leverage resources to increase the capacity of communities to help families completely out of poverty.

Beginning in 1995, Move the Mountain developed a new model to increase the capacity of communities to address poverty effectively known as Circles®. The approach combines best practices in several disciplines including community organizing, case management, grassroots leadership, SMART goal setting, financial literacy, mentoring, peer-to-peer counseling and learning, and child/youth development.

Her consulting focus is centered on helping leaders and organizations become missionally effective through the alignment of employee engagement and human resource initiatives and organizational systems that support the mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of the organization.

Deb has 20+ years' human resource and organizational development experience and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Professional. She has a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership and Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Deb has worked and consulted in profit and non-profit environments within a wide variety of organizations, including; Agriculture, Community-based, Distribution, Education, Faith-based, Food Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail and Social Services.

Deb and her husband, Jim, reside in Kentucky. They have ten children between them, five of whom are married, and 15 grandchildren.
